Los Alamos Federated Republican Women
*LAFRW's Freedom Tea
The theme for our 2026 Spring Tea is "Freedom Tea," in honor of the 250th anniversary of our country. Our Freedom Tea will be held on Saturday, April 25th, from 2:00pm-4:30pm, at Fuller Lodge. More information and tickets will be available soon. Our guest speaker will be Ramona Goolsby, the 2026 Republican candidate for NM Secretary of State. If you have been involved in election integrity meetings or helped with the Referendum a couple years ago, you know who Ramona is. We have all benefited from Ramona's extensive knowledge of NM election laws and we are honored that she will be here in person to speak to us!
*SILENT AUCTION at LAFRW's Freedom Tea
Thank you to Jennifer McKerley for organizing our Silent Auction again this year! Our Spring Tea with our always popular and fun Silent Auction is a big fundraiser for us and helps us fund the prizes for our Constitution Essay Contest and other activities like yard signs (LAFRW bought yard signs for Trump/Vance and for school board candidate Sean Stanfield) and for campaign contributions to cover other expenses of running for public office.
*A message from Jennifer McKerley about our Silent Auction:
We need a wide range of donations in good shape—think estate sale quality.
Past donations include gift cards for local businesses and restaurants (popular items), techy and computer related items, household items, special cooking utensils/tools, dish sets, jewelry, beauty, handbags, craft and decorative items, as well as vintage items, sports items, toys/games/books for kids. We typically only need a few books for adults. If you have a unique item in mind or have questions about an item, please email or call Jennifer McKerley (contact info below).
If you have items for the silent auction that you would like us to pick up, respond to this email or call Linda (White Rock) or Dianne (Hill). You may also drop off items at Jennifer’s house. A covered bin for auction items is on her front porch. If an item cannot be placed inside the bin, place it on top and it will be taken inside soon.
